Gold, diamond and base-metal mining from Sierra Leone
We operate licensed mining projects across Sierra Leone, from alluvial gold and diamond fields to hard-rock deposits, and support connected operations in Liberia, Mali, DR Congo and Madagascar. Every site is run under local mining law with documented origin, safety standards and community agreements.
What we mine
Gold
Alluvial and primary gold in [Kono, Tonkolili and Bo] districts. Gravity concentration on site, doré production and assay before export.
Diamonds
Alluvial diamond mining in the [Kono] district. Sorting and grading under Kimberley Process controls, with every stone tracked from pit to parcel.
Rutile and ilmenite
Heavy mineral sands in the [south-west]. Titanium feedstock for pigment and metal producers, processed by gravity and magnetic separation.
Bauxite and iron ore
Bulk commodities for regional and overseas smelters. Exploration and pilot extraction on [licence areas], export through the port of Freetown.
Copper
Copper oxide and sulphide ore through connected operations in [DR Congo]. Crushing, milling and flotation to concentrate, offtake to regional smelters.
Nickel
Lateritic nickel in [Madagascar] and sulphide targets under exploration. Ore and concentrate for stainless-steel and battery supply chains.
Cobalt
Cobalt as a by-product of copper mining in [DR Congo]. Handled under the same chain-of-custody and responsible-sourcing rules as our gold and diamonds.
Lithium and manganese
Pegmatite lithium and manganese ore targets in [Mali and Liberia]. Exploration, bulk sampling and offtake structuring for battery-metal buyers.
How we mine
The method depends on the deposit. We combine mechanised alluvial mining with selective hard-rock extraction, and we keep processing as close to the pit as possible.
Alluvial mining
Excavators, wash plants and trommels on river terraces and paleo-channels. Fast start-up, low capital, ideal for gold and diamond gravels.
Hard-rock mining
Drilling, blasting and crushing of primary ore bodies. Used where alluvial reserves are exhausted and grades justify the investment.
On-site processing
Gravity concentration, jigs and shaking tables. No mercury, no cyanide on our alluvial sites.
Rehabilitation
Backfilling, re-vegetation and water management as part of every mining plan, not as an afterthought.
From licence to first ounce

Licence and community agreement
Exploration or mining licence from the National Minerals Agency, plus signed agreements with the chiefdom and landowners.

Exploration and resource estimate
Pitting, trenching, bulk sampling and drilling to define the resource before any equipment moves.

Mine plan and setup
Site layout, water management, plant design and haul roads. Equipment built or sourced through our own workshop.

Production
Continuous mining and processing with daily reconciliation of grade and recovery.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which minerals are mined in Sierra Leone?
Sierra Leone produces diamonds, gold, rutile, ilmenite, bauxite and iron ore. Diamonds and rutile have the longest export history, while gold production has grown strongly with new alluvial and hard-rock projects.
Are your operations licensed?
Yes. Every site operates under a licence issued by the National Minerals Agency of Sierra Leone, with royalties paid to the Government and agreements with the local chiefdoms. Licence numbers are available to partners on request.
Do you use mercury or cyanide?
Not on our alluvial gold sites. Recovery is gravity-based. Where hard-rock ore requires chemical processing, it is done in a closed circuit under an approved environmental management plan.
